OUR ASTROLOGICAL CHART, OUR PERSONAL MANDALA?

I already wrote in another hub about the relation between astrology and synchronicity.

To me both are very much related, since we all are simply synchronistic beings: being the projection of all sorts of qualities bundled in the 3D form we know as our body.

Those qualities seem to be living energies that fill the "whole" universe.

All in their own way unique reflections of the fragmented parts of "the holy whole"!

In essence all is one, and thus as a result we all are one.

But that same oneness has expressed itself, not only in duality, as our minds tend to project the so called division, but in an unlimited multiplicity and diversity!

What is the source of that which we call that oneness?

While we may never know the cause, we are able to see, as well as perceive through are living experience, its result: Conscious!

Since source and result, cause and effect are most probably the same, I have a tendency to say, that conscious is the source of all manifestation as we recognize it with our senses.

There are however two sides on each one of us:

Like a tree above the ground, “we”, manifested in our body and that which we usually like to see as “our identity”, are the visible part.

We easily forget the part which lied under the surface, the roots.

Although they furnish trees with most of their life force, they do it most of the time unnoticed. And for humans, those roots are the unseen interconnectivity between one another, being one and whole.

We are in the process of discovering, not only that we have roots;
if we start tracking our roots far and deep enough,
we will find their connectivity with the whole.

We, metaphorically speaking, are trees, loaded with conscious.

Although we most probably in all our ignorance about the world we inhabit,
have no idea whatsoever about the conscious of trees,
which might be very much higher than our own?

But maybe I write a hub on that question later on.

So, where is the link with astrology then?

If we look at any astrological chart, we discover that each and every planet, sign, and house are present.

They are all there…

In each one of them.

Sound nothing special, doesn’t it?

The consequence of it however, is that the result of that is,
that astrology become the study of the relationship of all kind of forces our conscious has been able to distinguish in all that multiplicity, as we see it reflected in the sky. As well as in who we are, and in what happens in our lives.

Still metaphorically speaking, we all are all trees in existance.

And as one cannot ever find two natural grown (and not cloned) trees, each and every one of us, depending off how the internal forces relate towards each other, we become such and so, in difference of appearance towards one another.

The idea behind astrology being connected to synchronicity is that when we are born, and when we inhale air for the first time, all qualities at work at that time and for that place, are imprinted on a person.

Of course, it goes well beyond that one act.

That first inhale of air is the final touch of a whole series of actions which leaded to the birth of that person. Also in full synchronicity, the baby has all features of both parents through its DNA.

But this all leads to that one moment of birth, where we change from entities still connected physically to the whole through the mother, to seemingly separated living fragments of that very “whole”.

And we carry all qualities of that particular moment in space and time.

We are born as for instance a Leo, moon in Sagittarius, venus in Scorpio, and so on…

Are these planets “influencing” us than, people ask so much?
Not directly I suppose...

Unless it would be on a level we haven’t yet discovered, which might exist in the form of a homeopathic way of influence. Hardly visible, but yet profound.

(Ok, those who disagree with homeopathy may now raise their hands… and will probably leave now, if they already haven’t before.)

Who knows how it all truly works? I don't!

And who knows what will be discovered in the future, once people start study this?

And not only this, but how each and everything and everyone is related to each other, in the cosmic symphony?

But for now, I’ll keep it at the point that planets, signs and houses, are archetypical representations of qualities, forces and fields of experience our mind is able to deal with.

In ancient times, those forces were represented as “GODS”.

And the rich mythology of mankind refers all the time to them: Mars being the God of war, Venus the Godess of love, etc…

Are these all living Gods then? Yes and no.

Be it that they are no living persons, as we like to project forces and energies into images of ourselves.

They are archetypes and metaphors!

And in that way, they are related to qualities through which the “whole” seems to explore itself.

Are they true?

Of course they are true!

Be it that they are not determined in nature.

Which means that if we are able to identify someone as being “stubborn” that he will and must carry that label for the rest of his life.

It is not a sign of “failure”. It’s not a “mistake”. It’s not a “bad quality”.

It's ... well, just a quality!

(My God, our minds and ego, love to use these projections and judgments so much, isn’t it?)

Being “stubborn” might be a lesson to learn.

A quality to become aware of.

An energy that’s needs to be outgrown and transformed into love in ourselves.

The label isn’t the quality itself!
And it surely has nothing to do with any judgment at all!

It is the pointer, that helps us identify and clarify, so that our awareness about its role in ourselves and our live may become clear.

Because only then we are able to deal with it.

So, hopefully, by now a lot of you are beginning to see how our astrological chart is some kind of a road map.

It’s not determination and destiny.

At least, although one may not completely exclude it possibly being or become that,
it surely isn't only that.

Because it is related to our awareness, we talk about "and/and",
and not so much about "or/or".

It’s our school book, in which we find our personal lessons, goals, possibilities and levels, we are free to learn and achieve. Or not.

But we don’t have to limit ourselves by it.
By accepting it as something deterministic,
to which we have no other choice than to live by.

Our astrological may be or become our own personal roadmap in the form of a mandala.

A representation of the cosmos, with ourselves as the focal point.

Our own “axis mundi” around which everything seems to turn.

Because it offers a series of probabilities related to our awareness,
and not so much actualities,
we have the freedom to ignore it, if we desire to do so!

It offers a magnifying glass through which we are given the opportunity to have a look
how we, living in our fragmented state, are related towards the Whole.

So, yes! We are the ones who decide whether we have a look or not.

We are the ones who finally decide if we open ourselves to outgrow ourselves,
as well as our personal horoscope.

To supersede and transcend it, by transcending our “selves”.

Transcending, being to discover that there is more to reality, than duality; the product of our own ego.

If we learn sun and moon, mars and venus, Jupiter and saturnus being different levels in duality, we might discover new dimensions of our existence.

We might find out that we all possess all qualities in one way or another.

We then recognize that there is no black or white,
but a large area of grey wherein we ourselves and all others,
move constantly hind and forth on our path towards the Light,
which lays hidden in ourselves.

By using astrology as a tool and a mandala, our awareness is able to grow.

A mandala is after all, nothing but the visual representation of a mantra.

And a mantra is nothing, but a Devine sound, being song by the universe.
